Looking for some delicious craft beer or a wide selection of different kinds of local beers? There are several great Microbreweries in Boone that have garnered a good bit of press and acclaim. Appalachian Mountain Brewery, located at 163 Boone Creek Drive has made it their mission to help support the local community while making some of the best beers in the area. You can find some of AMB’s beer in many of the local eateries in town including Basil’s, Café Portofino’s and the Boone Mellow Mushroom. The tasting room features great outdoor seating, and a 120 foot outdoor bar that borders Boone Creek. If you are visiting the cooler months during fall and winter, there is a covered heated porch as well.
If you are looking for a variety of craft beers head to Appalachian Mountain Brewery. These guys are always brewing. The brewery features a selection of Porters, IPA’s and Ales with tantalizing names such as Black Gold, Honey Badger, Long Leaf, Boonetown Wit, Brown Mountain Ale, Daniel’s Double, Dry County Pale Ale, Golden Nugget, Ist Revolution, Royale with Brett, Spoaty Oaty Hopalicious, The Kingsley Trade, and also delicious High Country Cider, a hard cider made with local apples. AMB regularly hosts musical talents, many times each night in the summer months.
Lost Province Brewing Company is located a bit closer in to our historic Boone NC bed and breakfast on 130 N. Depot Street in Downtown Boone, and features both craft beer and a great menu of food. A delightful gastropub blending savory wood fired local fare with innovative craft beer brewed to their high standards. Currently, they keep about 10 local craft beers on tap. Stop in for a bite to eat and try some local Boone NC beer!
A bit further away in Blowing Rock you can check out the Blowing Rock Brewery as well. It was one of the first area breweries, since it opened in 2007, and it has garnered some acclaim for it’s Blowing Rock Ale.
