Book Trips for 1st Weekend in Feb. – Great Skiing!

places to stay in booneThe area ski resorts in the High Country: Ski Beech, Sugar Ski Resort and App Ski Mountain are all enjoying some great slope conditions and skiing after the arrival of some much needed fresh powder from winter storm Jonas. There is no doubt that this week and this weekend will be a great time to come up and go skiing, but if you can’t make it, the first weekend in February is shaping up to be a nice weekend and we have rooms available at Lovill House Inn. Right now, the Linville, Lenoir, Baldwin rooms and Spring House cottage are available for the first weekend of Feb and there are some great rates to take advantage of.

Historic, Lovill House Inn is not your ordinary hotel or chain accommodations. You will not find ordinary lodgings and a corporate atmosphere. What you will find is a beautifully restored Victorian home, located right on the edge of town, in the downtown/King Street corridor, convenient to Holmes Convocation Center on the campus of Appalachian State University, yet set among several acres of pristine scenery. We are one of the best places to stay in Boone NC because of our attention to detail and hospitality. Innkeepers Scott and Anne are always ready to assist guests with questions and offer helpful getaway advice on how to make your trip more memorable. What is even better, is you can get all of this and enjoy a memorable getaway for an affordable cost to your budget. We are not expensive like some other bed and breakfasts Boone NC. We hope to see you the first weekend in Feb. There is a lot going on!

In downtown Boone, near our Boone NC Bed and Breakfast there will be a First Friday Art Crawl, Friday evening, just after check in. Downtown art galleries and businesses stay open late and open their doors to patrons and artists that display their art and other pieces. It’s a great community event for all ages.

Beech Mountain Resort will host YO MAMA’S BIG FAT BOOTY BAND on February 6, from 5:30 to 8:30. This band is a huge hit and it’s an event you don’t want to miss if you head up to the area’s highest elevated ski resort. Funk is more than a musical genre, it’s a way of life, and since that mindset is what Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band embodies every day, the collective titled its fourth studio album Funk Life. This event will cap off the resort’s College Week event so there will be plenty of fun happening Saturday night. If you happen to be up at the resort earlier in the day on Saturday check out the Snowman contest at the sledding hill.  This year it will take place on Saturday, February 6th from 10-12, with prizes in several categories. You can also compete in the Snow Angel Decorating Contest. Free of Charge.
