1. What is there to do in Boone and the High Country?
The High Country is a four-season vacation destination.hiking, biking, fishing, rafting white water rafting, skiing, canoeing .outdoor activities abound. The area features premier areas of tourism including the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, The Virginia Creeper, New River and Lake Watauga. Shopping, antiques, galleries, and beautiful scenery can be found in Boone, as well as in nearby Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk. 2. What is your cancellation policy?
We think that we have a fair cancellation policy - if you cancel more than 14 days before your reservation it is a straight $25.00 bookkeeping charge.
If circumstances cause you to cancel within 14 days of your arrival date we charge you 1/2 of the rate of your total reservation and issue you a gift certificate for that same amount good for 6 months.
We reserve the right to charge you the full amount if you cancel on the date of arrival if there is no time to rebook the room and if you are a no show.
3. Do you offer gift certificates?
Absolutely! We will accommodate your desires for any kind of gift certificate including money towards a stay, specific rooms, dates, or packages. The printed certificate has the recipient's name on it, greeting from the giver, what it is for (one night or two or a dollar amount towards a stay), and the certificates are good for one year from the date of issue.
4. What credit cards do you accept?
We accept MasterCard and Visa, including debit and check cards. Because we are a small Inn we prefer checks or cash.
5. Do you offer discounts?
Do you offer discounts? Yes we do offer discounts to AAA Members at the time of the reservation. Discounts are not available during our high season (1 May thru 30 November). We also offer discounts to multiple night stays, and we do have a business rate for Sun through Thursday. We also offer discounts for active duty military, police and fireman. We do not offer discounts during our peak season of 15 September thru 1 November of any kind. To see more information on these discounts click here for our special's page.
6. Do you accept pets?
As much as we love pets we do not accept pets out of our consideration of our other guests.
7. What is your check-in and check-out time?
Check-in begins at 3 PM, and typically is between 3-6 PM. If you are going to be later we ask if you would be kind and let us know so we can plan our evening around your arrival. Check-out is by 11 AM.
