Sugar Mountain’s Sugarfest Moved to December 18th

Sugarfest is always a fun event in the winter, and couples love going skiing at Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, a short drive away from Boone and the historic hotels in Boone NC like Lovill House Inn. Their Sugarfest weekend was planned for this weekend, but due to the temperatures, they’ve moved the event to next weekend, December 18th. Come up for Sugar Mountain ski specials and fun events at the resort and stay close in to Downtown Boone so that you can enjoy the nightlife and shopping along King Street. Lovill House Inn is located 3 minutes from the campus of Appalachian State University, tucked along a side road off of Highway 421. Our location is convenient to Boone’s free in-town transportation if you wish to leave your car behind.

The drive up to Sugar Mountain will take you through some scenic areas outside of Boone, through the Grandfather Mountain community of Foscoe and onward to Banner Elk’s Tynecastle area where you’ll navigate to Highway 184 by turning right at the light in the Tynecastle shopping areas.
