A Labor Day Weekend Event Round-Up

First on our Labor Day Weekend Round-Up is The Jones House, a renowned local venue just minutes from the Lovill House Inn. You can catch local musicians in the community gathering weekly to jam. After catching up and choosing a key, the music begins until a “last call for tunes” at 10:50pm. The event is free to the public, and guests are invited to participate or observe.

The Jones House, like many venues in the High Country, has summer concerts held on their lawn in summer. Every Friday between June and August, you can catch a free public concert essentially on King Street in downtown Boone – how amazing is that! Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and relax to good tunes. You’re only a short walk way from the Lovill House Inn bed and breakfast Boone.

You may also enjoy the Hardin Brothers Music on the Green, from 3pm to 5pm at the Ashe County Museum in Jefferson, NC. The Final Music on the Green Holiday Concert will welcome the Hardin Brothers & Friends, so come listen to traditional favorites just over in Ashe County.
