Spring is springing in Boone, North Carolina, and we at the Lovill House Inn bed and breakfast Boone NC are so excited it’s here. When you visit us, you’ll notice a lightness to the air around you. The sounds of birds chirping, warmer days, a slower pace. Even though folks tend to travel in more of a mosey when it gets warmer, there are more events and fun things to do around town with the changing of seasons. There are a few events happening in our area this weekend of April 13-15.
Friday evening, Grandfather Mountain State Park hosts a Spring Wildflower Walk. This is an easy amble around the 1/8 mile of a parking lot to see what beautiful blooms are appearing in the mountainous areas. The Friday evening walk is from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the Profile Trail parking lot and will cost you nothing. For those wanting a bit more of an adventure, Sunday April 15th is the 2 mile hike to see the wildflowers, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Once again, the event on Sunday is free – but make sure you are prepared for a hike! Come back and relax at our bed and breakfast Boone NC after your fun adventure.
If you’re more of a “dinner and a show” vacation group, the Schaefer Center for the Performing arts is presenting a performance of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. At 7pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, and 2pm on Sunday evenings, tickets for this event are up to $20 for guests. Come support the students of Appalachian State and enjoy a fun event or a great date-night-out.
We are so proud of our community and their fun happenings. The Lovill House Inn couldn’t be situated in a better place to be. We invite you to come visit and see for yourself what makes our area so special. Call us today to make your reservations. See you soon at our beautiful bed and breakfast!
