The Banff Mountain Film Festival takes place every fall for nine days and launches its world tour shortly after. This year, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour makes it’s stop in Boone the weekend of March 22-23. For two nights, watch short films and documentaries about mountain culture, adventure, travel, sports, and the environment. Tickets are super affordable. A 20 minute drive away, you can visit the small town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Blowing Rock features many upscale restaurants and quaint shops, making it a great half-day adventure.
