Shop Local! | Bed and Breakfast in Boone NC

While staying at the Lovill House Inn Bed and Breakfast in Boone NC, be sure to check out all of the local businesses that keep our town close-knit. The culture and atmosphere in the High Country can’t be beat. We are proud to own our romantic bed and breakfast in the area, and proud to send our guests to local bakeries, cafes, bottle shops, farmers markets and more. We love it when our guests show us their purchases from the local area. Some of our favorite places to go are below.

Watauga County Farmer’s Market

shutterstock_610807595During the summer, from 8am-12pm on Saturdays, the Watauga County Farmers Market takes over Daniel Boone Park and Horn in the West to boast the finest sounds, smells, tastes, and community. Explore the offerings of fresh produce, berries, jams and jellies, and fresh local honey. Also from our local farmers, find farm fresh eggs, cheeses, meats, and farm based crafts like wool, birdhouses, and pottery.

You will never know what you can find at the farmer’s market, so make sure to stop by in the morning after you have breakfast with us at our bed and breakfast in Boone NC.

Drink Up!

shutterstock_41133547We have written several posts on local breweries, but the local coffee shops and bottle shops deserve a lot of love here too. There are many different coffee shops in the immediate area, three of which roast their own coffee. If you’re looking for an eclectic and fun coffee shop downtown, check out Espresso News. Needing a fresh donut? Check out the Local Lion. Want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the Town of Boone? Drive a bit out to Hatchet Coffee. At any given point in time, all have collaborated with the local breweries – THAT’S how much people like their coffee.

Of course, there are many other coffee shops, all wonderful in their individual ways. Take a second and Google to find the local coffee shop that most meets your inner coffee-buzz personality.

We hope you take the chance and shop everywhere local to support the folks who work hard to deliver products that represent our beautiful mountain town. We’re proud of our locals, and we hope you are too!
