Carolina where the holiday season is made even more magical when it snows. There are lots of activities to do in the High Country when the weather gets colder and we get a good blanket of the white stuff. From skiing to trips around town for the lights, you’ll forget about the cold for all the fun you’ll be having.
We do offer specials during certain seasons, so give us a shout and see what rates we’re running for the Holiday season.
Outside of the Lovill House Inn, there are numerous ski slopes and snow tubing areas. The closest ski resort to us is Appalachian Ski Mountain. This group of slopes is best for those who are first-timers or families looking for a fun new sport. If the slopes aren’t your forte, there is also a skating rink to occupy your time. Further away are Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain. Both have slopes ranging from easy to challenging and are fun for the whole family.
If you are more inclined to tackle slick surfaces by falling on your behind, tubing would be a fun and safe way for you to enjoy the snow. Visit Hawksnest Snow Tubing for a unique family experience. With 30 lanes of 400 to 1000 foot snow tubing options, you will be smiling til your cheeks hurt.
