Green Drinks Boone Networking Event

Green Drinks Boone is an informal social networking organization that hosts monthly events for anyone interested in “green” activities in the High Country. It’s a great way to catch up with local people involved in “green” services and make new “green” contacts. Green Drinks Boone is among 15 other North Carolina communities and 750 cities worldwide that host monthly gatherings of sustainably-minded people who meet to informally discuss green business, green services and green activities. The Boone network organization has been meeting since 2008.

The next Green Drinks Boone event on Wednesday, April 19th will be at the Lovill House Inn from 6:30 to 8:30. The Inn is located at 404 Old Bristol Road. The House was built in 1875 and was recently renovated to become the NC Sustainable Energy Project of the Year in 2021 and the Sustainable Tourism Award recipient from Explore Boone in 2022. The 11 acre property includes a Tesla Charger, a carport mounted solar PV system and six Tesla Batteries that can provide up to 24/7 off-grid electricity. Advanced thermal insulation and clean, energy-efficient products substantially lower energy usage. Small group tours will be conducted and networking will focus on NC Green Travel designations which were awarded to the Inn. This is a unique opportunity to visit the #1 Sustainable B & B in NC.
