Boone is going to be busy this weekend!
We've got all sorts of things happening, and I'm sure you will find something to do!
Friday December 2nd
The town of Boone's Festive First Friday celebration and Solar Tree Lighting will take place on Friday December 2nd. The galleries and shops in downtown will be open for the evening, start celebrating the holiday season with a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, milk and cookies, a snowball fight with marshmallows!
Meet Mrs. Clause and write letters to Santa, drop them off at the post office where we will be handing out cookies and hot apple cider!
Don't forget the Solar Tree Lighting at the Jones House, sponsored by the Appalachian State Sustainable Energy Society!
Watauga Arts Council
6x6 Show Opening Reception Friday, December 2 5-7 pm
Stop by the Watauga Arts Council for a reception with music, food, and drinks, to celebrate our annual 6x6 showcase! Over 30 artists participated, offering a wide variety of mediums and styles. Pieces will be on display and available for sale through December 30th!

The High Country's newest holiday tradition continues with the return of the Carolina Snowbelles to the Appalachian Theatre in downtown Boone. The dance troupe high kicks and pirouettes their way through holiday classics in their high-energy annual show.
There are four chances to see the Carolina Snowbelles this holiday season at the Appalachian Theatre:
Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30 pm
Sunday, December 4th at 2 pm and 6 pm
