As people everywhere begin planning their spring and summer getaways, a historic inn located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains deserves a second look. That's because North Carolina's Lovill House Inn has just about everything you could want in a summer vacation spot, including a price that can't be beat.

You'd think that an inn that has been around since 1875 and features the historic charm and beauty you'd expect from a place like this would set you back a pretty penny, but the bed and breakfast offers a luxury experience at a more middle-of-the-road price. Lovill House Inn is Great for Vacations and Events

Nestled on 11 acres in Boone, North Carolina, the Lovill House Inn was built in 1875. The house served as the location where the Appalachian State University drafted its state charter, and it was the place students of the school later called home, according to the inn's website.

These days, the inn serves as a luxury bed and breakfast, featuring six suites, a two-bedroom cabin, and a historic barn lined with gardens and flowers that will both delight and inspire. Some of the amenities guests here can expect to experience include:

For example, a Monday through Friday booking for two guests in the Bristol Suite during the first week of April is only priced at $239 per night on the website. Need less space? The Lenoir Suite is only $199 per night for that same time period, but still grants you many of the same awesome views and amenities.
