The Lovill House Inn is a historic home built by Captain E.F. Lovill in 1875 and lived in by the Lovill Family for 100 years.  The property was converted to a Bed and Breakfast more than 20 years ago and has been rated the #1 Bed and Breakfast in Boone several times. Located within walking distance of downtown Boone and the AppState Campus, the Lovill House Inn is the perfect place to stay in the high country for any occasion.

The newly renovated main house features improved insulation to reduce sound and increase energy efficiency. All lighting has been changed to high efficiency LEDs and the latest technology for heating and air has been installed.  Upon entering the property guests, will notice the solar carport and level 2 electric vehicle charging outlets. A new Power House has been added which combines the renewable energy generation with Tesla batteries and a connection to the local electrical grid. All buildings will be able to operate on clean solar and hydro energy alone for the majority of the time.

Welcome to our oasis of luxury, sustainability and history.

The Lovill House Inn features 6 newly renovated guest rooms upgraded with hardwood floors, and tiles. We offer gourmet, organic breakfasts featuring local suppliers. While most hotels and bed and breakfasts use single use plastic containers, the Lovill House features non-toxic, organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash from Fillaree (a Durham, North Carolina company) in our bath dispensers. To further reduce the use of plastic in our operations, we use all natural detergents and cleaning supplies that are not packaged in plastic.
