The Lovill House Inn is a historic home built by Captain E.F. Lovill in 1875 and lived in by the Lovill Family for 100 years.  The property was converted to a Bed and Breakfast more than 20 years ago and has been rated the #1 Bed and Breakfast in Boone several times. Located within walking distance of downtown Boone and the AppState Campus, the Lovill House Inn is the perfect place to stay in the high country for any occasion.

Welcome to our oasis of luxury, sustainability and history. The property spans 11 acres and is located just 1/2 mile from downtown Boone. Guest can walk the grounds to visit the 110 year old Lovill Barn, sit in the outdoor pergola, the reflection garden, or walk up to the waterfall in the back yard.

The main house features 6 newly renovated guest rooms upgraded with new beds, hardwood floors, flatscreen TV’s and fast internet. Each room features at least two windows bringing fresh air and light into your own private space. We offer gourmet, organic breakfasts featuring local suppliers.

Guests looking for a more private experience can stay in the Cottage House featuring 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen and living room with fireplace and a screened-in outdoor room on the edge of the forest.  The Log Cabin backs up to the forest where guests can hike to the top of the mountain where they may find the bear cave at the top, or enjoy their own fire pit in the Cottage’s front yard.
